Well I got some belts for sharpening and decided to pick up my old 22" tram and refurb the edge. I noticed some good sized chips and tried to remember what happened... Oh yeah
I was bored one day last summer and had an old M-tech that needed chopped.
These are the results, all I really did was get the rust off the edge with a 120 belt. Really shows the difference good steel and heat treatment make. All the edge hits were done with the tram and the part where I tried chopping all the way through was done with a cheap hatchet.
