I`ve got an old CS Trail-Master in Carbon V convex grind and love it so much I`ve decided to retire it :)(Just got it polished to a mirror finish, SWEEEEET, LOL) I just saw the M-Tech copy in a shop near my home for 50$, have anyone here tried it???
Just wondered if it`s any good at all, the steel is 440 stainless...
Thought it might be an ok beater for a cheap price....
Any thoughts and experiences on this??

For 50 dollars you can get a Becker BK-2.... If you want an OK cheap beater, check out the CS GI Tanto. 20 bucks...

I know, but I just can`t help it but I love the feel and the look of the Trail Master, and that M-Tech is just feeling right in the hand..
I just don`t know how it will hold up when used....

I see those for 16-20 dollars here in the USA, so I can't see how a knife that size costing so little is going to hold up.

WOW Jill that`s really cheap, but you know here in Norway I`ve got to pay somewhere around 380-400$ for the cheapest CS Trail Master....
Knives are really expensive here, because of the salesnumbers...

Hunt down another pre-owned Trailmaster on the BF exchange? Becker's a good suggestion, also.

Hey Jill, Don't always judge a knife by its price. Sometimes you get a lot more than you pay for! I've got a Cold Steel GI Tanto that I paid around $30 for and its been tougher than some knives I've owned costing 3 or 4 times more than it did. :D

The Becker is very nice, but the look of the Trail Master just does something for me, LOL... Maybe I`m just damaged in some way, I`ve had two of them, the first one I broke in half after two days and CS replaced it no questions asked...
I also own several others and have never had any bad experience with customer service from CS, allthough I don`t like their marketing I sure like the knives they put out...

But sure I "need" to get me a Becker or two in addition, there is never enough blades...

The GI tanto is carbon steel, not the 440 -- probably 440A -- of the fake Trail Master.

Hey Bobber, why don't you buy one and give it a good "Noss" beating and let us know how it holds up! ;) LOL
