Hi, I got this one while living in Haines ,AK about 25 years ago. While researching it recently I found a copy of the patent for the lock. Interestingly enough the inscription on the blade was well before the patent. The blade was Engraved with Berner 's River Oct. 25 1946. (24 years before the patent) What I've also noticed is alot of the Knives are numbered This knife is unnumbered.
