I'm new here and I just wanted to know what you guys think of the CRKT M16-14 Special Forces, Desert Tan tanto.

It's a rock solid user knife. Don't expect anything amazing, but I wasn't disappointed with my M21-SFG.

You'll find the dual flippers might be a bit of a hassle at first, and some people just can't stand the AutoLAWKs. The knife might be considered by some to be on the heavy side, but I don't mind the heft.

There are other knives to consider, what are your intended use applications? If you're just looking for a "tacticool" knife to show your friends, this one would fit the bill. If you're looking for a hard use folder, it will probably fit that one too.

I have one but it never sees any pocket time. It is a nice knife but the dual flippers are un the way when its clipped in the pocket. I like to be able to get my hand in the pocket holding my knife also.

It is a large knife and is well made, but if you're looking for something to edc, then there are better alternatives.

Also, I have grown not to like chisel grind knife profiles.

Are the SF series now chisel ground? Both of my CRKT's (M21, M21-SFG) were conventional, double sided "v" style grinds.

the one I have is, hollow ground tanto blade with chisel edge. partially serrated also. Only difference is that mine has a LEO agency seal on the blade. (Got as a gift) The agency ordered a quanity and had their seal and agency name etched onto the CRKT side of the blade.
