Hi everyone. my dad has an M1860 cavalry saber made by Mansfield and Lamb from 1864. it's been passes down in his family and whyle we dont want to sell it we would like to know how much its worth. i dont have a picture but i can say that its nothing but rust. the blade is even a blueish brown rust (i think there's a term for it but i can't remember what) with no visible clean areas. wich i think looks alot better than the usual spots of rust here and there. i'm not sure how helpfull that is but any guesses will be appreciated.

Without a scabbard and in rusty condition, maybe $150 as a relic. Less if the handle wire and leather are gone.

Fill in the blanks and watch Ebay or dealer lists for similar.

Tom Nardi's guidelines may be a bit dated but the market has dropped values if anything for most.

Just plug your sword info into Google or another search, also Ebay. No more work than posting here initially, really. Here is yet another start for you
