M2-G10 Scale Changing?

I picked up a G10 M2 the other day, along with a set of custom scales. In order to change them, I still have to get the factory scales off, but they appear to be glued on as they won't budge. Has anyone else had this same problem?

The scales are not glued but you need to take away the screw and the rivet

I have tried tapping them out, is there any special way to get them out?

Edit: I have already removed the screws, but the rivets are proving difficult to remove.
