Just finished this, it's the first straight razor I've ever made. M2 HSS blade with CA-finished walnut scales. I need to make a permanent wedge yet, I just have a temp one in right now because I really wanted to shave with it! It's between wedge and ¼ hollow I'd say. Shaves really well.

That looks cool man :), nice first showing? What made you decide to go with this style of grind?

Thanks! It's all I could really do, as I don't have a bunch of fancy equipment. My sum total of gear used on this was a die grinder with cutoff wheel to cut it out and a bench grinder to do the rest. Sadly I don't have a fancy belt grinder with all the different wheel radii. No heat treat furnace yet either, so this was ground from the solid.

That's awesome man :). I'm starting to learn the basics of knife making myself, and I'm doing everything with hand tools. I didn't realize how much work it would take to do it by hand. It's super cool to see what people put out. Never ceases to amaze me what people can do when they choose to try :).

Big chunky design, good work considering what you have, and a good way to make best use of your tools.
