M21 Veff serration, thoughts?

while looking for my next purchase of a folder, one for working on the ship, the M21 w/ veff serrations has been in the back of my mind for quite some time.

They look like they would be excellent for cutting through rope and other materials, but I have yet to get one in hand and try myself.

Any thoughts or opinions on the veff serrations.... preferably nothing to do with it being a combo edge. I frankly don't care, I just want to know how they hold up and are for cutting

I think the serrations (veff) look great, especially on the M21, but have no idea about functionality. However, CRKT is pretty famous for really crappy steel, which no amount of serration is going to help. I have an M21, and cheap Walmart kitchen knives hold a better edge (and it rusts like crazy at the beach).

For a serrated knife in a corrosive environment, check out the spyderco salt series in H1. I've used one surf fishing for the last few years and its been great, if you can get over how ugly they are!
