I just realized something when i was about to order the M2 Nimravus: The 154cm Talon! I had forgotten about it.

Did it come out yet? The Nimravus and Talon are almost the same size and price. Are both equal function? Help me decide before my mind explodes! The horror of choosing which knife to buy next!

Never had talon, however having experience with M2 from BM and 154 CM steels from BM and few other manufacturers, I would take M2 blade w/o any hesitation. Unless you do need more corrosion resistant 154 CM I don't see
a reason for 154 CM.
And, yes I liek Nimravi better

Design-wise, they are two very different knives. The Talon is far more utility-oriented, while the Nimravus is a self-defense/utility combination. Decide what you will be using the knife for, then choose accordingly.

But seriously, after owning both the M2 Nimravus Cub and a Talonite Talon for a while, the Nimravus Cub looks a lot like the Talon. Seriously. I have altered the blade profile. I bought the Cub first, and didn't like the more fighter-like style. So, I changed it. Later in a fit of curiosity, I bought a Talon. I love 'em both, but the Cub mainly because I have changed it.

I can't imagine a better fixed blade every-day carry type utility knife than the Talon, and the 154CM is the Talon with a reasonable price and excellent steel.

Oh, and to answer your other question, it is my understanding that the 154CM Talon isn't expected out until sometime in April, so I don't expect to see it until at least mid-May.

M2 works better for me than the ATS-34 or 154CM steels.

The Nim is a larger blade than the Talon.

The Talon is not out till April? Can you wait that long

Get the M2 Nim... I LOVE M2!!!
