M3 Leather Washer handles
I was just given by a friend a "fair" condition WW2 M3 fighting knife. It's no museum piece, but well worth restoring. Here's the problem: ZERO leather washers left, only 2 brown plastic spacers. So my questions are:
1. Where can I find replacement sets (repros are fine)?
2. How hard are these to install?
3. Or is there a place i can send it to have it done?
I thought Camillus was making replicas for a while so I hoped to score some grips there, but their website is useless for parts info.

Any and all help would be MUCH appreciated!
Thanx, Scooter1

We may have some M3 leather washers left from the last production run.
The M3 handle is made from stacked leather washers that are assembled onto the tang and then milled to shape. This milling operation requires special equipment but can sometimes be done on a lathe. The easiest way for you to replace the handle would for you to obtain a completed handle that you can simply install on your blade. If we have one I will be glad to send it to you. You will need to reuse your two pin butt cap and we can provide you with new pins. I will check today to see what is available.
