M390 will out perform the M4 Military in terms of edge retention. :)

Awesome knives man! I own the M390 Millie, ridiculously awesome knife!

My experience is definitely different. M4 at 10 degrees less than M390 holds an edge slightly better. That's just day to day use, though, no real tests.

Well the edge on the M4 blade being 10 degrees more acute will most surely help it out perform the M390 blade.

A LOT of people are under the misconception that thinner edges = less edge retention. While that is true in SOME cases, a lot of the time more acute edges will actually take less force to cut, in turn slowing down edge degradation by a substantial amount. Thinner does equal less stable, but it doesn't always equal less edge retention. :)

Put the M390 blade in the Ti/G10 handle set and don't look back!*

I had to try a couple of donor knives to get good lockup, but the problem was unsafe early (non-)engagement, not blade play.

m390 will out perform M4. both are excellent steels! ill still take s90v ;)

I put the CPM-M4 blade in a Ti Military, now I need another Ti donor knife to put my M390 blade in...

Titanium gives me a boner.

nothing wrong with swapping blades but i'm reminded of that 1970s series "UFO" where aliens abduct earthlings just to use their internal organs.
