M390 para 2 vertical play

I bought my blue para 2 a few months back and have noticed the lock up is extremely late now and is starting to develope vertical blade play. Does spyderco fixed vertical play and late lock up issues? I have not abused the knives in anyway and it has been lightly used.

Will do, might as well disregard this thread then, unless someone had a similar issue and got it fixed!
 
My impression from reading threads over the years on the compression lock is that a certain number of knives have this and Spyderco doesn't consider it a defect because although possibly annoying it doesn't affect the safety or strength of the lock. However, after you give Spyderco W&R a call, you'll know more and with more certainty...so please post back here. :)
 
Right on thanks for that additional info!

Also another thing to add is when I flick out the blade and the lock moves into place so far over and snags my skin in between it and the liner pinching me which is annoying and actually stings a bit lol.

I will defiantly update the progress of this issue. Otherwise if it can't be fixed I'll figure something out like swap the m390 blade with another para 2.

Spyderco has always treated me well, fixed paramilitary or not they'll always be my top brand I purchase.
 
My XHP Para 2 has up and down play as well. It had it out of box. It's going back soon. My S30V Para 2 is super solid, though.
 
My P2 has up/down blade play as well (S30v) And I don't really mind it which is weird because I absolutely cannot stand blade play. I guess the amazingness (That's a word now) of the knife hides it. It would be nice if Spyderco could fix this problem but I won't hold my breath.
