Excellent article. It seems for our purposes, there is no measurable benefit to third generation PM steel.

Cool article. Stupid question but when looking at the microscopic images does a difference of color or having more colors mean anything or is it just a difference in the camera or etch?

I have recently moved to Syracuse and am hoping to take a Crucible tour one of these days.

Sometimes special enchants are used the reveal different colors for different phases. But I haven’t used any of them for images on Knife Steel Nerds.
