Can Benchmade offer all the popular models in both these steels as a regular offering? Thanks I appreciate it.

I could live with that. I would like to see a 520 Presidio and a 950 Rift both with M390.

I could live with that too, but it's not going to happen. While M390 is whiz-type steel and M4, for the most part, is the same, they're not easy to sharpen as is 154CM, which is old, yes, but a conservative choice as well.

It is quite possible that M390 will eventually replace 154 in Benchmades lineup in my eyes.M390 may replace S30V as the standard stainless across the industry at some point is my intuition.I would like to see more/future models produced with non-coated M4.There seems to be a whole slew of production models releasing in 2014 in M390.Is a new trend being set?

For what I do with my knives I can very easily live with 154CM or s30v.

Can they? Sure. Will they? I would say not until those 2 steels are no longer considered top shelf.

I love the supersteels but yeah, ATS-34/154CM properly hardened and ground goes a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng way.

Probably just my use but I find chips often in 154 that I don’t with others. My 950 mostly.
