Camillus did make M4 Bayonets with plastic handles during WWII. The early M4's had a leather handle like the M3's. Camillus also made M4's
with wooden or molded rubber handles toward the end of the war. M.H. Cole mentions the plastic handled M4's in one of his books. CherylR may be referring to the reproduction made during the 1990's that were only offered with the leather handles.
