We only have to wait 2 to3 more weeks or so for our M4 Millies....it's

been 10 months. A little of the anticipation about getting the knife has

gone away for me because we've have to wait so long. Is there anyone

else who has a little less anticipation about this knife because of the long wait?

Dates don't really mean that much in the world of sharp things. Sometimes its best just to try to forget about a pre-order, and when it actually happens its a nice surprise.

Some folks have real things to worry about, like illness, job loss, divorce, you name it. Waiting for a sweet knife is not so bad.

If the excitement is gone for you, I will be happy to pick up yours at cost for my younger son, who has decided that he would really like one of these but didn't have the money saved up at the time.

I would have been more excited if we would have had the knife when it was

orginally supposed to have been released in mid May to mid June.

The wait hasn't bothered me. There have been many desirable Spyderco releases in the meantime.

If enough floks complain about companies that miss a PROJECTED release date then why should companies even give out info to their consumers? Spyderco is nice enough to give out a heads up so people can plan and budget for a knife, and folks complain about it.

I have been around the company as a local customer for six years or so now. Spyderco has tons of knives in R&D at any given time, I'm not gonna cry if they miss a date by any reasonable measure, because they are constantly innovating and changing. It's the price you pay for good R&D, and QC on the products.

I am really pumped for the new Millie with the M4 or the Para with S90V.

i admit at first i was mad about it being pushed back so many times.. the more i thought about it the more i knew that spyderco was doing their job... Putting out a perfect product.. if they rushed it and it had a bad heat treatment or another problem no1 would be happy with it. spyderco rejected the first batch because it didn't meet quality control and i thank them for that.

we might have had to wait a little longer but when u get that milli and the blade is just what u asked for and more u will know it was worth the wait.

i can wait until oct

I'm grateful for the little extra bit of time, helped me get a few financial things squared away. and as has been mentioned, it's much better to have any potential problems ironed out before the knives ship. this is a favor that roger and sal are doing for us, not something they have to do. I'd like to give a big thanks to roger for all the interesting limited run knives he's been bringing to the market recently, it's awesome.

Well, just to be fair, they are dividing up more than $100,000 for this favor. Nothing wrong with that. I'm just saying. :)

eh, not that much anticipation. It will be cool to get it, but I'm still not sure how I'll feel about it compared to the normal military. My work use of knives has decreased a ton now, and am finding less and less need for "super steels" for most things I cut.

haven't sharpened my vg10 knives for months now.

It will still be neat to have and hold, even if I don't want to use it and just sell/trade it off.

But I bet I'll love it once in hand :P

The wait has been frustrating, :( of course, but I'd gladly wait 5 years, if necessary, for a Spyderdo Military in CPM M-4.

I am still pretty excited. Like everyone else I have plenty of spydies to fill in the gap -- esp my ppt :)

The older I get the easier it becomes to wait for a good thing, except, ummmm . . . :D
