How's it going folks?
I have recently moved t a state that allows the carry of autos, and while I would like to do so, I am not a fan of S30V or 154cm...

Due to this little hiccup, I was curious if I could swap the blade from a 908BK-1501 into a 9101BK?

The problem lies with my not knowing what the internals look like, and whether there is a hole drilled for a spring on the 9101 that is not done on the 908...
(Edit to add) I also do not know if there is a significant difference between the Stryker 1 (9101) and Stryker 2 (908).

Basically, I want an upgraded alloy in an auto with dressed up scales. Can this be done?

No it will not work. It is more than just a hole, the blade is also milled to house the coil spring.

Given BM's blade replacement policy, could you have them work something out? Break the blade first? Makes me think I need to do this with my mini-grip as I've been wanting an M4 mini-grip since their custom shop became available.

They will not replace a blade that didn't originally go into the knife unless the whole platform has been upgraded. If your mini came with 154 it can only be replaced with 154 is my understanding.

Well, so much for that idea. Would be a nice option since they already offer the blades but I suppose that's a way to get us to buy another knife.

This will only work if the knife was originally a custom shop grip. Then you would be charged the difference in cost of the blades.

To go from 154cm to M4 is ballpark $30-35. I am not sure about this second part. I did call them a while back and I asked this about a full size griptilian, and that is what they told me.

They did not mention charging for a blade replacement to do this since you already purchased a higher dollar knife directly through them and this is considered a service. Higher dollar compared to a similarly equipped model from a vendor. A 154cm through the custom shop should be more expensive than a 154cm from a vendor, especially if using an online vendor.

This is why you rarely see custom shop grips or barrages on the exchange. They are fairly modular, in that you can send it in and have it changed around for the cost of materials, once you buy the knife as a whole.
