M4 Stryker II vs M4 Freek

I have the CF M4 Stryker II and love it. I have the plain Freek. IMO, the handle shape of the Stryker favors a hammer grip, while the Freek favors a saber grip (hammer grip on the freek places the blade pretty far away from the hand). If you primarily use a saber grip in your tasks (an like putting your thumb on the blade spine), I might suggest the Freek. I prefer the Styker I to both.

Thanks this is exactly what I was wondering!

I have both and like both a lot; besides the comment about the handle design leading to favour certain grips, I think the overall profile of the knives is something you should consider as well. While it's not "huge", I definitely notice the increase in size and bulk in the Freek compared to the Stryker II during daily carry in my pocket. As well, while the Stryker is more svelte/sleek which aids in carry-ability, that also meas it's a little less comfortable in extended use. Additionally, iirc, there is a not-insubstantial price difference between the two, so it'd be up to you to decide if the CF vs the G10 and the Stryker design is worth the premium it carries.

At the risk of sounding cliché, I like them both for different reasons but would recommend the Stryker II over the Freek (if the budget allows it) as an EDC/more all-around knife. If you plan on using the knife a lot in more of a regular working environment, don't want to shell out more, or don't mind the extra size/want the extra size, then I'd say go for the Freek. Having said all of that, either is a solid choice imho.
