I got my M43 yesterday and got a few quick pics to post. No testing yet but I will get it in the field soon and add to this. This one was done by Murali kami. It is incredible!
Overall Size - 18 1/4"
Blade Size - 12 1/4"
Handle Size - 6"
Spine - 3/8 almost all the way to the tip.

Here is the M43 next to my 1941 (top) and 1944 MKII's for comparison. As you can see, the handle on this M43 is large! It also doesn't have any of the bend in the handle that is typical of that model.

I have been looking at these for a couple weeks.My first was a Mccurdy custom because I liked the more western design opposed to the traditional.I have made a turn around after looking at several of these (M43) on line.It is on the short list now.Congradulations on your new blade brother.
 
My Bura M-43 has a shorter handle and the distinctive curve to the handle.

My other M-43 (not sure of the Kami) has the newer longer handle with a bit less curve to the handle.

I prefer the downward curve and size of the Bura made blade as it does indeed improve the performance of the blade both when chopping and on the thrust.
