Is the M43 edge profile/cross section, typicaly thinner than the WWII or BAS? Or is it just what the kami felt like going with on the day he made my M43?

M43 edge profile?

I believe they come in thinner because they are based on an actual millitary design that were thinner than the standard HI khuk. I think they are still a little thicker than most from that period. However, i brought mine into work today to clean up and it is thinner than a my other khuks of similar size. Others will know much more

Thanks Gunz. I was more curios from a historical viewpoint than anything else really.
This edge has to be why it handles the thin stuff so suprisingly well. Yet it still is a more than adequate chopper for the hard woods as i found yesterday.
It sticks now and then, but that would be the trade of then would it not? Hell, I'd get a 18" GRS or AK if all I was gonna do is chop.
