I have read HI info on the M43. It does not specify weight and length. What is the typical or average weight of the beloved M43. It feels like a solid 2 lbs of glory, but I don't have small scales.

Depends upon the length. These are handmade, and not cut from an assembly line, so the blades tend to vary not only between the Kamis, but each kami may make the same model a little differently.
I have two BASs made by the same kami. One is 20ozs, the other is 25. Both are in the 15" range.

I have two 15" M-43s, both are Kumar's. One is 25oz, while the other is 27oz, and a third that sold at about the same time period was 30oz.

A 5oz. variance at 15" is very noticeable.

I remember buying about 7 or so Randall #1s over the past 30 years. On more than one occasion, if I didn't know better, I would have sworn I had bought a different model. The grind and weight were just that different.

For an 18" OAL M43, I'd say the weight will usually be 28-36 oz.

For a 15" OAL M43, I'd say the weight will usually be 24-30 oz.

I like the 18" to be as light as possible. Conversely, I like the 15" to be as heavy as possible. I find that the shorter length of the 15" M43 brings the center of gravity closer to the hand and makes it easier to manage a heavier weight.

Mine is an 18, it feels more like 36 but I have no real experience hand weighing. I might take them to a friend just to weigh them for grins.

I have an 18" WWII that comes in at about 34oz, if that helps. Your's should be close. To me, that's a great weight for chopping, but not so much for carrying in a backpack. Besides, you need another HI Khukuri anyway.

They are starting to pile up :D

When I get that special order, Ill post up some pics. I am so impressed with these kukri, its a bit overwhelming. I sent the Gurka House knives back to manage the herd a little better.
