17.5 inch 29 ounce M43 by Amtrak. Fine work by Amtrak. Can't find a thing wrong with this rig except the blade needs a polish. Exotic wood that I can't identify but I'm sure the woodchukcs can and will.

We'll deliver this beauty to your door today for $150.

How did you fit it all in that little box with the red x? :)

oh oh. Spoke too soon.

Nice looking M-43. If I wasn't almost broke I would have snagged it up quick! Who is going to be the new lucky owner I wonder?

Heber

i would scoop that sucker up, but i already have a 29 oz m43 and it's too much knife for my girly arms.

i wonder what wood that is. osage? i don't think it's cocobolo. doesn't look like walnut.

i'm gonna say that's osage orange and with a bit of finishing up would be AWESOME.

uhh... maybe it's cocobolo? the karda and chakma handles looks like it could pass for it. i dunno!!

It's not yellow enough fer Osage Orange and the grain doesn't appear right.:p ;)
It doesn't look like the other Osage Orange knife that was shown recently.
If Walosi were here he could tell us in a New York Second!:D
Hard to say really.

your right of course yvsa. it's not osage, but than i never knew about that wood until it was mentioned on the forum!

i guess it's some kinda rosewood (which narrows it down to about a million)

Oh man my anniversery is coming up or i'd snag that in a heartbeat. Heck, i'd have taken it at 150.00! An amtrak m43 will be mine someday. its next on my list:)
