I have been close to getting one a few times and am at that impass once again. For comparison sake how does the M6 feel in hand as compared to the NO-E or the SJT? I am mainly speaking of feel. I love both lines so I am not interested in the old SR101 -vs- INFI argument. I'm sold on both lines  . Thanks guys for any input.

It's stouter, a little heavier and fills the hand a little better. It's not as "fast in the hand" and feels less like a fighter. The balance point is also further back on the handle.

It's a great feeling knife. The only semi-gripe I could come up with is that the exposed portion of the tang uncomfortably rubs the palm if you take a rear grip and chop with it. The size and balance of the knife doesn't lend itself well to chopping in the first place, though, but you could if you needed to. Minor point, really.

Hope that helps some. :)

they feel almost identical to me. i sold both because the swell in the middle of the grip dug into the meat of my palm. i found it uncomfortable. the ergo handle seems to fit my hand better.

I like the M6 over the NO E myself. Better edge geometry and I prefer the M6 handle to the NO E.

Would you say that the handle on the M6 is similar to that of the SJT. In as much as being as versitile in the various grips it can comfortably be held in? Switching from standard to reverse grip and all that.

Note: again, this is not a "better than: thread. I love both lines but am just asking for a comparison against something I actually have. Bottom line, of course, is that I'll just have to order one. ;)

I would have to say the M6 handle is a little more versatile in my hand because it is more in line with the blade. Fits a few more positions to me than the dropped E handle.

M6 and SJTAC. Both are great knives, of course.
The handle of the M6 is a little thicker, and it's heavier than the Busse.
Other than that they're pretty much similar to me, both in normal and reverse grips.

Won't really pick a favorite, they're both excellent!
(the M6 out-chops the SJTAC though, but don't tell anyone I said it)

Best regards,
Gunnar

I agree with Greg45 the lanyard hole does dig in your hand when you grip it to far back. but as for feel it's almost the same as my HOSJTAC. What do you plan on doing with this knife chopping ,cutting, batoning, gneral use or heavy camping ?

I prefer the handle on the M6 over the E series. It just seems to be more natural when I use it. I think the grip on the NO-E was just too tall for me, I always felt like it was slipping when I used it to chop.
I have thrown a wrap of "tommy tape'' on my M6, just to increase the wooby factor.

Awesome, thanks Gunnar for that comparison pic of the SJTAC and the M6. I've been lusting after an SJTAC but just haven't been able to cough up the funds. An M6 is much more within reach, though. :D

I had both a SJTAC and a M6, I not only have the M6. TO me they felt about the same in the hand, but the M6 had the stout beefy feel I was looking for.

I am a proud owner of an M6 and find no fault in it other than having had to polish the edge up before using it. The edge was pretty rough as delivered, but it was fun sharpening it. It is an awesome blade and surprisingly stout, just the right size/weight and very comfy to grip.
