M6!

My SureFire M6 arrived today. Of course, I had to put the 500 lumen bulb in right away. Man, it's bright. It hurts just looking at the white ceiling when I shine it upwards.

As much as I like the tailcap switch, I have to say that I would like to have a barrel mounted switch (like that on a MagLight) also. The M6 is almost as big around as a D-cell light, and sometimes I'd like to hold it in the conventional overhand way. Otherwise, it's a superb piece of gear.

You'll get used to the M6 very quickly.

I now expect non SureFire flashlight I pick up to have a TailCap switch! People sometimes give me strange looks (no really!

) when I comment before I've even turned their flashlight on!

The styling on the body of the M6 is very conducive to gripping it so that your thumb is on the TailCap switch. Once the M6 is constant on, you can grip the TurboHead and cooling fins. I suppose this would be more for seaching for something rather than a tactical situation. The MN20 give a superb beam and runtime. When you need light, The M6 provides like nothing else can.

The M6 MN21 500Lu Lamp Module is an awesome illumination tool.
The SureFire M6 "Magnum" is a Most Excellent Flashlight.
