M7 bayonet repair / spacer replacement

Friends,

I have an M7 bayonet that needs some repair (replacement of spacer that fits between the grip and guard). If you have a recommendation on a knife maker or company who can assist, I'd appreciate it. Google let me down in this regard.

I've also considered having some custom work done on it (removal of pommel and adding custom grips so it's not so much a bayonet but a fighting knife). Any suggestions are appreciated.
