M7 is now available in LionSteel web page. It is available in satin finishing or black blade. Sleipner blade is 180 mm and 5.5 thickness, overall knife 315 mm. SOLID Micarta handle, 4 axis cnc milled. Sheath is made of Kydex and Cordura. Total weight 410 gr.

Very nice.

I'd be all over this if I didn't already have a Lionsteel-made Knife Research Legion (Molletta design also) with a 6.7" blade of Sleipner (56-60 HRC) that's 0.22" thick. I don't know about the heat treat differences but the biggest difference is the solid one-piece Micarta handle of the M7 versus the two-piece G-10 of the Legion.

U.S. measurements of LionSteel M7:

  • Blade length: 7.1"
  • Blade thickness: 0.22"
  • Overall length: 12.4"
  • Weight: 14.5 ounces

Anyone know if the cordura belt attachment can be removed and attached to the kydex for left hand carry?

I'm figuring a price of about $290 for the satin at BladeHQ once they're available. That would be the same price as the Knife Research Legion. Black blade a little more.

Thanks for that info bud.

I would like this big fella to be my first large fixed blade. Is it all in only black micarta?

Yes only black micarta solid one piece handle. There's an option of satin or black blade. Same kydex/cordura sheath for both.

I asked Gianni about wood handles a few weeks ago:

Nice. What carry options? Just Micarta handles? No wood?

I will not produce the wood handle, I am afraid of the guard. As you can see from the picture also this handle is a Solid one.
