M8A1 scabbard opening dimensions

I am looking for the dimensions for the throat in the M8A1 scabbard. I mainly want to see if a Hunting knife made from a reject M1 bayonet will fit. Thanks.

The throat of my M8A1 is 24mm by 6mm. I doubt the M1 bayonet will fit, as I am pretty sure it is a wider and possibly thicker blade than the M3 Trench knife and M4 -M7 bayonets. My M4 bayonet is 22mm wide and 4mm thick, so you should be able to measure your cut down M1 bayonet and check. John
