Hello all. I have a couple questions about the M9 LE

Is it still available for sale?
How thick is it?
Is it SR101 steel? If not what is it?
What are the specs- blade length, OAL?

Thanks for the INFO.

I believe these are no longer available but maybe there's some laying around The Swamp. The steel is differentially hardened SR-101, 9" blade, .25 thick, full flat grind, satin finished, and razor sharp. You should get one. It is freaking excellent.

I think its the best model they ever came out with. very nice weight for slicing and chopping. if you can get one on the seconday market at a reasonable price i would jump on it.

Many thanks Guys! I saw one on the exchange and it really caught my eye. Hopefully I'll be able to get one. I usually hang out in Busse, and never looked this way.... until I saw the M-9. ;)

Thanks again guys!

It's sort of crazy how high the second hand prices are already...

Don't get me wrong, I love the knife, but I've seen M9s sell for more money than an NMSFNO made from INFI, and that's just nuts.

Nuts, maybe.

All I know is that the M9 is one beautiful knife, and the NMSFNO is an ugly SOB.

:D

I almost pulled the trigger on the NMSFNO, but I ended up holding off, and getting my name put on the waiting list for an M9, which I got.

I still like the NMSFNO a whole lot, but for about 80 bucks less, the M9 lured me away. The two are very different knives, but if I were spending over 300 bucks for a knife in the 8-9 inch size, it would be on the NMSFNO and not an M9. Not to bag on the M9 - I just think the markup is ridiculous. I freakin' love the balance and feel of the M9, and the temper line is sexy as heck.
