Well I don't HAVE A M9LE . . . yet. But I do have a SHBM and a Muddy M6. Plus a NMSFNO.
As I stated day-1 and was confirmed by others, the M9 blade profile is so SHBM it's scary. And the handle is pretty straight, but different.
I was asked to do some measuring and take some pitchaz. Here dey is:
SHBM
.27" smoothcoat INFI
Handle ranges from .775" thick at the palmswell to .715" at the narrowest point. The handle is 1.415" tall at the widest point of the palmswell. (measured parallel to the slabs.)
M6
.245 crinklecoat SR101
Handle ranges from .760" thick at the palmswell to .710" at the narrowest point. The handle is 1.515" tall at the widest point of the palmswell.
Shockingly, the M9LE will be DANGED close to the handle size of a SHBM. A bit taller and not as pronounced in the swell of the G10 handles, but very close. The only thing it don't have is the curved butt to stop your hand from sliding off. A good lanyard would solve that.
Here are some comparison pix with a NMSFNO in there for good measure. I will say the pix are deceiving b/c the small stature of the M6 blade. Imagine a blade almost as tall/wide as the SHBM attached to that handle. YEAHBABY YEAH!
