How big a show is it? I've never been to a knife show. I figure I'll go to the NY show in November.

Hey AF,

Its about a little less or more than 100 knife dealers I'd say. Local Custom Makers, productions, etc. Its a short trip from Boston. See this site Northeast cutlery collectors Assoc. The season of shows in your area is starting back up. One about every other month, one in late november there to. Hope to see ya there.

i too have never been to a knife show, but i'd love to go this sunday. do you have to get some sort of tickets or something or can you just show up? Thanks

- Pete

I will see you there! You pay a small fee to get in at the door. It is right at Route 20 (east) off of 495.

alright, i'll be there for sure. we should all get together and talk knives after/during the show. i'll have a cell phone, but what we really need is a sign, a bladeforums hat or somethign. the advantage of getting together after would be getting to show off any new purchases. well, i'm looking forward to meeting some fellow forumites.

:) :) :) :)

The shows are sponsored by NCCA which is the local NE area club for the last 20 odd years. Membership is $15 yearly (maybe more now? since I only pay my dues when my guilt overwhelms me) Members get into all shows free so if you plan on attending all the shows in a year you make out.You also get a nifty newsletter every other month. The other thing its good to support your local knife collectors club much the same as supporting this site.Plus the best part is you get to meet people like me! Plus all the other guys who post here and live in the area.

that's pretty cool, i looked at the website quickly, i'll have to take another look at it.

Thanks for info everybody. The knife budget is tight right now after a couple of recent binges. But it would be cool to see the show anyway. I'll probably go.

Picture being about 10 years old and being set free in a toy store. Its exactly what going to a knife show is like for us.

Yup,

I even sometimes cry when I can't get the toy I want.:p

I'm hoping to finish a couple of new folders to show around while i'm there. It's a small show and it's $3 to get in. There are a few well known makers usually there like Jim Siska, and a few others, whose names I can't spell offhand. See you all there.
