MA/SOCOM, MOD Hornet, or LCC?

Within the last few days I have traded for 3 of my favorite knives. SOCOM, Hornet, LCC..
I'm trying to start a good collection, so I need to stop carrying all of my knives. I don't want to mess them up. they are all new. I need to choose 1 of them to be my daily carry. Since I recieved the Hornet first, it's been what I've carried. the others will be here soon though. What do you guys/gals think the best of the 3 for utility/protection would be. I know the SOCOM is out of production, but the other 2 I have are not. So maby it's just between the LCC/Hornet. I also am aware that MT's bring higher value than MOD. Did I answer my own question? I know that any one of these would do the job I ask of it.

USAFSP- I think you did answer your own question. Although the LCC is so sturdy and performs so well, it just kinda makes me want to carry and use it. Hey, I know, buy a LCC D/A for your collection and use the M/A!

That's all I need. "honey, I know you will be mad, but had to buy a DA/LCC knife so that I can use the MA/LCC". Thank god she is a girlfriend and not a wife. Is collecting really a sickness? I feel infested with it. I'll just carry the Hornet. I love it anyway. If I ever retire it, I'll have 2 nice MT's to choose from!! Now that's rationalizing if I ever heard it.

If the Socom is a Tanto blade I would't use it as a daily carry. It won't be a useful as the clip point blades of the Hornet or the LCC. I like both knives and have the Hornet in a auto but I would carry the LCC befor the Hornet. Just my 2 cents.

I have The Soccom, LCC and Duane Dieter's CQD(MOD anyway...) and I carry NON of them. The Soccom black TI tanto is out of production, the LCC i have is serial numbered and the CQD is very nice too. Although they are not collectors item but the knives are so well built, close to perfection in my own standards. I would suggest that you get another user knife for daily carry as i have done so myself. This is the best cure IMHO

Have to agree. Carry the LCC and get the D/A version for the collection.

I have all three of the knives you mention and the LCC is by far the nicest of them all. None of them are slouches and would make excellent carry knives however.

I did not know that the Tanto SOCOM is out of production, but my belief is much the same. I used to 'hide' all my really cool stuff. I used to park my Harley-Davidsons for fear of getting them dirty. Take it from a fifty year old teenager, use your stuff--enjoy it, wear it out, develope great memories! Sure, an MT is a large investment, but so is great joy. Besides, in a year or so, cooler stuff will come out--all in S90V. Yeah, I have a LCC on order, too...--OKG

Thanx for the info guys. I got the SOCOM today. It's friggin' awesome. It's the first one I've ever handled. I decided to try and trade my hornet for a CS gunsite 2 if I can find one. I wont carry the LCC as it's tip up, and I'm a lefty. Think what would happen if it opened in my pocket. As it's a custom colaberation from my favorite custom maker I'll save that one. I will carry the SOCOM. It was a hard decision.

I have the MOD and the SOCOM. Carry the MOD and save the SOCOM for collecting. My 2 cents

O.K.. I just got my LCC today and I must say holy S@#T. I was not prepared for what I was to recieve. I am fully happy. My SOCOM and Hornet are now taking up space in my closet. Thanx for all the replys.

I just bought a MA LCC at a knife show today. I can't believe they're priced at $145!!! This is quite possibly the perfect knife that I was looking for. Smooth, rugged, elegant. Outstanding.

The saddest thing in the world is a knife or gun that sits alone in a box, along with dozens of others, waiting to be enjoyed, fondled and caressed.

Look at a knife that has been well used and taken care of and I will show you a knife that was loved and that shows it. Knives need to be used, scratched, polished and worn by time and use. This gives them a character all their own and unique. In the years to come, you will cherish each scratch and ding, because it will record your memories. If you just have a shiney new knife in a box, you will have lost out on some wonderful and cheerished memories.

Go out and use them all, no matter the cost of the knife, make some lasting memories with a new friend. And when you sit with your old friends down the line, pull out your worn knives and tell stories about each one and the good times you had with them.

God bless you all.

Buy the LCC, SOCOM and the MOD.
Use them all in rotation.
I agree with russ. Life is short, why not enjoy yourself?

AMEN!
Of course, finding a "use" for some knives often requires a little ingenuity.
But I'm still looking for the perfect folder. I have a AFCK, Wegner, Endura. Mini socom and Wimpff Klotzli (a great carrier, BTW.Flat, light, and despite it's size, it disappears in the pocket).
Now y'all are goin' on about the LCC! AAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!
And I've already got my D-2 SIFU on order! Stop it!!!
Still, ya can't have too many good friends, right?
