I just secured a Buck 110, and I believe it is a fifth version, variation 1 or fourth version, variation 2 either way it's early '70's. But the best thing about it is it was signed by Sarah Buck in '03. I have never seen a knife signed by anybody other than the common names, AL, Hoyt, Chuck, CJ. Has anybody ever seen any other important names ingraved on Buck knives. Also, would this be considered a rare find. I'll post pictures when I receive it in a couple of weeks.

I dont think Sarah signing Bucks is real common, interesting that she would sign something that old. I dont think I'd have Chuck or CJ sign a 30 year old knife myself. Sweet pic up though for sure-congrats

Will enjoy seeing the pics for sure.

Here is mine-I believe 4th version 1st var

I missed getting Sarah to sign my Buck purchases at the 2005 NRA convention in Houston. She was away from the booth.

CJ signed them.

Hey that's something, did you get a sheath in the deal? lmao You know you're getting old when the knife ya bought new is an antique.

No it didn' come with a sheat it came in a wooden box. Thank you imafritz for your pics the knife I gor has stainless rocker rivit and 2 small inlay rivirs, can't tell from the pics if they are headed or not. I guessed on the age, based on the inverted blade stamp and the size and material of the rivits. I don't know Y someone would have a 30 year old knife ingraved either.

You'll be better to judge once its it your hands. I'm giving a best guess to mine, even with great info on Joes sheet, I think there is still some room for oddities that dont fit-I have to look at mine again but when I was 1st drooling I remember it not fitting 100% into any of the most likely variations.
Thats 1/2 the fun of it though isnt it?:)

You know it , I sit here and I have the descriptions of the knives and I look up every one that I happen to be gazing at, at the time. I am addicted. Plain and simple.

Ima, thats a great 110 . Away from my notes but it looks to be the first of the two liners . DM

When you get it, you may discover that it's a Third Version. That nail nick looks early. Maybe a forged blade.

Agh! Confusion. I was looking at Fritz's knife and thinking it was your knife. My comment applies to Fritz's ...... I'd guess it at earlier than he seems to think.

You seem to have yours figured right if it has the stainless pivot pin.

:)
