MAC KNIFE - UNUSED + DISCONTINUED

Trying to find a value on my unused and still boxed MAC DA-BK-150

Recently discovered the entire series was discontinued and can't find any price comparison online. Need help being directed to the correct place
 
Amazing why? Because the knowledgable people who support this site might not want to give their hard worked on knowledge out for free?

I appreciate the knowledge. I was merely recommended this website to price and potentially sell a knife I have. I'm merely looking for guidance. I'm a Chef you see. I cook for a living. I've accumulated a fair amount of Knowledge myself. So a family member comes along or a friend and wants to cook something but they're unsure of what's best. They ask me for a bit of direction. Some guidance or even a hand preparing something.

Or, a tourists enters an area completely unknown to them, unbelievably lost. They approach a local and ask for directions because they believe the locals Knowledge can help them. Do they refuse unless they're paid? Because after all, they're the ones who support the area. They spent their time learning the area. God forbid they pass on that Knowledge to help someone out.

You see, I appreciate people's Knowledge. I respect that some people may be very talented and have a particular expertise, but as far as I'm aware this forum is not a business. Its a forum for discussion. I understand I may be very wrong but I'm just looking for some guidance, hoping some kind Knowledable person may be interested in helping because its a nice thing to do. I wasn't aware that 32.3 seconds of their time typing a response that may help me would cost me. It's ridiculous. So yes, "amazing". What else could you possibly expect from someone who was pointed towards this website to suddenly be told it will cost them to recieve a basic answer to a basic question. Surely a community would want to encourage newcomers. Knowledge can be shared. If the worlds Knowledge suddenly cost a gold membership then we would he pretty screwed. Have a cracking day and good luck to your future endeavours.
 
Your analogy is incomplete. To complete it, Imagine thousands of persons asking for your valuable opinions. Per week, or day. Would you deny them your expertise? Perhaps charge them a fee? You would be justified to do so.
 
They're still full of crap. You dont need any kind of higher membership to ask questions. Sorry you ran across a couple of boneheads. Hopefully a member with the knowledge you needs steps up.
 
I think that the issue is asking about the valuation of ANYTHING without Gold+ membership:

Accordingly, registered and basic members may not start or post in threads with such requests whether with the intent to sell or for informational purposes only. This rule applies throughout the site.

Please note the last sentence in italics above before commenting about the rule being under "Exchange Rules".
