Pretty nice for $49. Purchased from premiumknives.com. Smooth transaction, although it took several weeks to recieve shipment. I suspect they do not stock most of their knives, and order from a distributor when you order.

This is my first quality kitchen knife. Blade is thin and very sharp, knife is pretty light. The blade slips effortlessly though pretty much everything, I think the thiness of the blade helps. High carbon steel. Length of blade seems great for most kitchen duties, although i could see myself getting an additional chef's knife with a longer (perhaps 8") blade.

I also like the idea of having a blade that is much more unique than the traditional wedding gift sets my friends have.
