anybody else have some Ebony to show us?

Well, yes I'd love to buy it, but I saw it too late

Here's a pic of the one I agreed to buy from an ebay seller:

The picture is not great but it like that it has a significant amount
of grey.

hmmm, on the other hand I have a absolutely mint maple burl, if I
was to sell that one.....

California Buckeye Burl

Dave, my guess is that the knife will look much better in person than it may in a picture. Seems like many of the woods used by CRK have good looks that are tough to capture in a photo. Please post some pics of your own when you get it.

the worst thing about those small woodies is that they look so good and cost so much...

what is it like $200 more for wood inlays...seems a little high to me for what u get...but boy are they beautiful.

i want 1, but alas i need to find a used 1 cause i dont want to spend retail

if only he produced more so prices wouldnt be so high ;)

Thats a purty one, I love CBB!

I saw that one on Knifeart too, a real beauty.

I hope it is. For....

I just bought it!! :D :)

As long as Knifeart's inventory system is up-to-date and the knife really is available, it should be here early next week.

Count me among the Sebbie newbies now!

And, what a day it was...bought this Sebbie and a lovely jigged bone single-blade Don Morrow trapper.

Now to go let the credit card cool down for oh, say, the rest of the year.

Or month, whichever comes first.

Yes, Mark welcome and congrats on your new sebbie. Hey, you have good tastes in knives. I just got a single-bladed green jigged bone trapper from Don Morrow too! :D

Thanks! I struggled with choosing between the sebbie and a custom gents folder, but (honestly) in the end I think I wanted to see what all the sebbie fuss was all about. Here's to hoping that this sucker is all it's cracked up to be.

Excellent! Nice call. I really wanted to splurge and go for a Ruple, but I'm sure I'll be perfectly happy w/ the Morrow. Nearly pulled the trigger on this Ruple:

Post some pics when you get your Sebbie.

I don't really do the digital camera thing yet, but I'll post some shots if I can find a convenient way to get it done.

And, no, I won't be sending the knife out to one of y'all so you can take the pics!!
;)

Just an FYI, I got the CBB from the ebay seller, (see pix above). It's actually not grey at all, it's a light cream with considerable fine swirls of blue/green. It actually looks quite a bit like some pics of mastadon bark ivory. Not as "gnarley" but similar.

Cool! :D :D :D

Mark,

Did yours arrive yet? Post more pics when it does.

Oh, and would you consider a trade? :p

Actually, it arrived yesterday, along with the Morrow trapper.

Man, I gotta tell you...these are both fine knives. Brought `em both in to work today and couldn't stop myself from fussing around with one or the other at every spare moment.

I'll try to get some pics posted here in due time. Have never done so, so I'll need to get my hands on a camera and then figure out the process for posting pics here.

Trade? It's not my intent, but what are ya offering?

And, speaking of pics, honestly the knife really does look just like the original pic posted in this thread. I can take some more I guess, but that first pic really does do it justice.
