Does anyone have any info on this razor? Some history? Time period? Anything? I can find pretty much nothing on it.

I found it in a box of old knives and the blade had a few chips in it so I honed the chips out and sharpened her up. Haven't shaved with it yet, but I think I got it shave ready or darn close. It took an edge very easily.

One side says:

Macdonald & Company
San Francisco - New York

The other side has a heron or crane or similar bird standing on one leg.
