I've been carrying Hideaway Knives for a few years, and recently have had issues incorporating them into my EDC because Illinois now allows concealed carry and I appendix carry a Glock. I kept looking for ways to allow for a front-mounted cross-draw, possibly clipped inside my gun belt. The problem? The sheath and its holes are too small for any mounting accessories including tek loks and the Spyderco g-clip. So, I spent my afternoon off tinkering...and after three failed attempts, here is the result.

...That's the belt clip off of a Stanley mini tape measure, and a piece of Command Strip adhesive because nothing else would stick. Had to tune the tension of the clip. Amazingly enough? It works!

Have you tried a static line? Use a small loop of 550 to attach the sheath to your belt. Then tuck the sheath behind your belt. The loop has to be short so the sheath doesnt fall through. Heres my Survive Necker in a home made sheath with a static line. This would be carried on my left front for a right handed cross draw.
