Mach 1 can be waved!!!

I just got my EKI Mach 1 today and was surprised that when I pulled it from my pocket, it would wave open While I was waiting for 1SKS to ship my knife, I read up on it on the archives. People were saying it would be THE BEST if it was Waved. It is You have to pull it with a sideways motion away from your pocket and it should catch.

Hi Solid. Are you talking about catching the thumb stud on your pocket to serve the same purpose as the wave?

This once happened to me with my CS Gunsite II. I pulled it out and it was already OPEN!! (Kinda shocked me.) Later, I figured out how it happened--the thumb stud caught on my pocket edge and simulated "the wave." I can usually do it when I try now, but it's not something I could do reliably under stress.

Someday I'll get me a waved Emerson...

Exactly Karl. I was doing it slow today and saw it was the thumb disk. My pants will soon bear the marks of a Usual Suspect

MAKE SURE that you line the tops of your pockets with STEEL, so that you don't end-up ripping them away!...
