I ordered a Mach 1 and a MT L-UDT the last week of august. I had to justify blowing 300 dollars on 2 knives and placed it under the category of back to school shopping. About 2 weeks ago, my Mach 1 started having liner problems. When I pushed on the blade, the liner would slip to the left of the tang, but would not disengage unless spine wacked.

Now I know what I must do. I called EKI and got the shipping intstructions and I'm set to send it off.

I'm guessing a few of you have had to send knives back to have some liner lock Q/C problems fixed. Can you share your experience with how the knife locked up after Ernie worked his magic?

PS
I also took the TiNi coating off the blade with various grits of wet/dry paper giving it gunmetal color. I will specify not to do anything to the finish. I'll try to get some pics up if possible.

Well, I've never sent any knife back to Ernie for any QC work, but I have returned my carry CQC6 to have the blade touched up after I managed to 'ding' it a bit.

It came back as good as the day it was made, and I even had the knife given an inspection and overhaul for no extra charge !

I'm sure you'll be completely satisfied when you get the knife back.

had lock probs w/my CQC7 production model, about 2 weeks and it was back, and was fixed

I lost the thumb disc and the screw for my SARK while i was cutting crime scene tape. I called Emerson the next morning and they shipped me a new Thumb disc and screw NO CHARGE with an apology saying that is not supposed to happen to our knives. I think that is class
