I'm thinking of getting one BUT----after a search of the forums >>>

1...There seems to be a lot of them for sale or trade on the forums.
2...Several seem to have QC problems.
3...Prices seem to be coming down.

Your thoughts and experiences relating to the Mach 1, would be much appreciated.

Thanks:
Mike

Hi!

I like the feel/size on the Mach-1, only thing i don't like about it is...the wave, i can't understand why there isn't a wave on this one???

It seems that all my knives tend to be either waved or springloaded, waved for real and spring for play/gadget appeal.

No QC issues with mine.

Gotta get a WAVE :D. Best thing for knives since...............steel??? Go for a Commander. Price is not toooo much more most places on the net (any you WILL love the wave).

My $.02

I agree with 2Sharp on the Mach I. I just got one this week and quality wise, it is as nice or nicer than my Commander and PSARK. But without the wave, it is not in the same league.

I have two mach-1s and i love em. If you work with the knife enough you can open it just like a waved knife. I find it to be a very good utility oriented knife. (Which is what it was made for)

All i do is twist it just a little bit as i pull it from my front pocket. It takes a little practise but it can be done . I have only been able to do it while I am wearing jeans so far. I have been tryingwith my uniform pants but it will not deploy all the way yet.

Well you guys have got me leaning towards something waved. Maybe a Mini Commander. Is the plain blade available yet?

Regards,

Mike

Both "Satin" and Black-T are out.

Personally, I prefer the "Satin". I find it to be a much more durable finish. I've scratched the Hell out of and discolored more then my share of Black-T knives. I've yet to do much damage to the Hard Chromed, "Satin" finish on a knife.

The Black-T is very Stealthy and Ninja like, but I couldn't tell you the last time I had to sneak up on and "disable" a Sentry. ;)
