Who has both and has used both? Which is a better all arounder? I just gifted my bk9 to a friend, or really I loaned it to him and now he won't give it back :D so I need to know if I should hold out for a machax or buy a bk9. I need a big all around knife, not just a chopper, since I have an RBK inbound for that. So what do you think? Bk9 ramp-less, stripped maybe a choil? Or sit.back and wait patiently and more patiently and more patiently for a machax?

I was wondering the exact same thing.

For me, and my financial crap, it's either a 9 or a 4. I kinda wanna hear what people that have both have to say.

I have both. I think the Machax is the best all rounder, but the 9 has been my go to for awhile now. I think I just need a Ka-Bar version. My Camillus variant( used in the chopping vid) has only been used at Ethan's. The one I had overseas was great. Clear as mud?

Well, to be fair, he doesn't need a chopper as much with the RBK. Speaking of which, when you get tired of that RBK, I'll happily take it off your hands :D

Actually it doesn't matter either way, we know Clich will buy both. First class knife shopaholic. :D

I have a bk9....im not letting it go....Im getting a machax....wont be letting that one go either

I am really looking forward to putting a Machax against my beloved BK9. If I carry a Machax and a BK9 my BK2 can be my tweener.

I was also wondering the same thing.
Also, how much of a pain is it to sharpen the machax with stones?
It seems that using the corners would work.

It's deceiving with the recurve, you'd think it'd be difficult, but it's really stupid simple.

Sweet. Thanks Murph.
Without having either blade in hand, I can just speculate from pictures I see on here. But I am glad to hear it won't difficult to sharpen whenever I have the cash to pick one up.

All this is making me sway more towards the 9...which I like the lines of better anyways. I will choose function over form anytime, but it appears the 9 will chop about as well and I like it more.

This almost makes it sound like you think there is the possibility of owning only one of them....You so crazy. :)

Well, I aint one to collect piles of things. I prefer to find one or two items that work for me and stick with it.

but my bro wants a machax...I can play with his if I wanna lol
