In my never ending search for cool knives I came across this mint Cincinnati Machax Warrior. Only downside was the original owner didn't have the sheath. Anybody have a stock machax sheath they would like to sell?

Nice find.....there are not very many of those.......That blade has the industrial hard chrome finish on 4140 chrome-moly..... We aimed for about 54 RC hardness.......Great blade.....Choppin' fool of a tool....... Congrats......

Thanks guys. I used to have a kabar machax but I found it too light. This one is 1/4 thick and much heavier. I love it.

I never realized how much of a difference there was in the grinds between the regular and Warrior -4.

The grind on the W appears to be taller. Do my eyes deceive me, or is the whole knife less wide than the the -4?

Maybe it is because the Warrior Machax has a swedge, giving it a slimmer appearance near the tip.

Thanks for those photos, Bladite.
Very interesting.

those things were hand ground too, basically, so some variation should be expected...

the throat on most warriors i've seen is a little thinner

overall, it's a lighter, faster knife

I didn't realize they were hand ground either, damn.

You sir, are a wealth of knowledge, and I appreciate it.

Yeah, I would say a helluva deal on that one. Congrats, I've only seen old ads for the Warrior.

I feel like an idiot as in 2004 and '05 I made a conscious effort to track down and get one of every Becker made at the time to complement my Blackjack/BK&T Kukri. Took me 3 months but I got them all. The hardest to track down was the BK-5 IIRC, as there was some talk to discontinuing it at the time. One of the first I scored was a Machax, but I never even knew about the Warrior model. Not sure how I missed it, but love the grind.

That's OK, Bladite is my good friend and I know he'll just donate me one from his collection for old times sake. (Right Joe? ;) :D)

yeah, i thought there was someone buying one of everything on eBay and jacking the prices up ;) i made you pay for that ;)

did you get a BK-8? :D

hey, did you know there's at least two kinds of Warriors? :D

suffer! :)

No, you are way ahead of me. I have the Blackjack / BK&T Kukri with standard sheath, and the Reinhardt Combat Kukri in Satin, also bought from Mike Stewart at Blackjack circa 1994 (with combat sheaths for both), and everything else is from Camillus in black finish except one: I was lucky enough to get a BK-7 in desert tan, and I scored two sets of the micarta grips just before they went under, and that is my current favorite Becker as it just looks cool with those panels. I have a BK-9 but missed the BK-8, which I assume is a later model.

Thanks for the eye candy, and you don't have to send both, just your least favorite LOL! :D

That is just wrong! :D

Bladite, What are those two stuffed betwixt the Remoras and 11's?

This picture almost always makes me go buy another one. Why just 5 minutes ago there was this Blackjack I happened upon.....
