Machax

I have decided that I need a Machax now I thought I read somewhere on here that there are plans for kabar to release one. Am I remembering correctly?

I would rather buy a Kabar then pay $200 for NOS becker version.

Anyone own and use the Machax, if so what are your opinions of it?

great blade, no longer produced, and likely that kabar won't be doing them anytime soon, afaik.

so, if you HAVE to have one, well, ebay. maybe. if it's about the khurki bit, well, there are options. otherwise, well, perhaps the combat bowie

You know, I read this thread and recalled I have one made by Camillus. It has never been used, has what looks like a Kydex sheath and a black shiny coating on the blade. I wonder how mush these are worth? I must have gotten it about in 2000.

Hey Gunnie and Mark.....

The BK1 and PATROL MACHETE are not currently under consideration for re-release.....The BK1 because it did not sell and the PATROL MACHETE because currently KaBar does not own a grinder with a long enough throw to do the PATROL MACHETE...
There are almost no knives made that long ground the way they should be, because of a lack of long throw grinders in the states......Please check in after SHOT SHOW in late January about MACHAX news.....Thanks for your interestin my babies...
