Anyway as soon as I got it I was amazed at how small it was. Perfect size mind you, but for some reason I had an image of this thing being huge.

All in all the whole thing is perfect, I'm 100% satisfied with it.

thanks to Snakedoc for the theft of a deal on the thing
And to OREGAN FAL'ER for warning me about my 666th post. Dangerous business.

Nice score. Seeing the Necker on it I was surprised looking at it just now... seems like it's about the same size as a BK9 now, definitely cool and can't wait till they come out.

hopefully when ka-bar starts cranking these out they'll come in the same sheath as what you have

Please go kill some wood with the Machax.

I would but.......I'm pretty Canada right now.

Sheath is my least favorite thing about the knife. Not bad. Doesn't dull the blade, but the retention strap doesn't hold in the knife, it just catches it when it falls. Though I can't think of whenever I'd hold a 1/4 inch piece of metal upside down also beats the BK7 sheath no contest. Gotta get some molle clips and permanently affix it to the side of my pouch.

the camillus were pretty bad. you'd have to thin the edge and convex it to see true glory... like the last generation cincinns

ok let me revise my statement. when ka-bar rolls out with these I hope they make a sheath like that with good retention.

Didn't mean to shoot you down. It's better than most. I was just saying is I'm going to remain open to possible upgrades.

Agreed, mine has an incredibly thick edge, but I love it anyway. :D I got it along with the Eagle sheath quite a while back from Ed Sick, the combo is sweet. iirc the sheath was rather uncommon at the time.

eagle sheath implies cincinn era.

It didn't come with it, I bought it separate. Ed was an Eagle dealer back in that day, about 8 or 9 years ago. He had a few of those and some others that I wish I'd snagged. He also had an amazing collection of vintage Beckers, some grey coated and some uncoated. A certain Brute I really regret not getting my hands on, was in that pack.

Ed got me hooked on them with my first, the Campanion. :)
