Less than a month to SHOT. Preorders for Machaxen??? Pricing? New sheath?? Gimmie!!!!!!!

I will order this and the tweeners (like any good Beckerhead) when they become available but you know you have the info Mods so spill it!!!!

yeah, i mean, we sold out the extras already. geez, where were you guys?

the custom sheath and monkey patches alone were worth it.

but actually, this mod doesn't know shit about this. they don't inform me. moose might find out cuz he's special ;) regular lunches with Ethan, backrubs with Toooj, secret trysts with others. yeah, that's how it is. he's not telling though.

chances are Tomars and others will have them for sale before i even see specs and pictures.
 
Bladite, you didn't get yours yet??!? Hell, I got so many that I threw a couple of them away.
 
as with all new product, i get the first 200, all of them are signed :)
 
Pre orders will have to go through dealers, and what not. I don't think Kabar is pre ordering direct, but I'll check.

As for specs and stuff, I got a sterile prototype I can give ya'll some info on, but other than that, its about it.

Ok, thank you good sirs. Just wondering about the sheath mainly, I would assume it will be like the current BK2/3's or will they switch to a nylon type? (bleh!)

Also I'm not really wanting to pre order per se just trying to figure what actual street date will be.... :D

hey, if i knew, you'd know. that' how it works with this sometimes. i'm assuming KaBar is shutown until the new year, so, we can speculate as the day is long...

No need for a street date,, after Bladites 200 and they ship all mine there won't be any left for anyone else

Ok, got a few pics of the Machax. Sorry for the "crappy" measuring stick, its all I had with me at the time.

Thickness 3/16" You can't really tell in the pic, but on a flat tape, ist 3/16" exactly, and with my calipers, which I didn't have with me this morning

Sheathing is still a mystery, I'm hoping for a hard nylon sheath, but it will more than likely be the nylon pouch sheath.

As soon as I hear, I'll let you know.

Interesting - they dropped the thickness. I remember the Camillus ones being at least .20", if not .25" stock.
With the 3/16" and saber grind it should still be plenty thick without being a boat anchor....

The original is far from being a boat anchor. In fact, it is very light in the hand.

Yeah, no boat anchors. :D

The weight on the proto I had, was 1lb according to my scale. It might be a little under that, since my scale counts in increments of .2lbs. But it should be pretty close to that.

Very light, very fast, for the snap cuts that E is always going on about. :D

Moose, thanks for the pictures! Did you Tiger Stripe the scales your self or what? They are pretty cool! If there will be a Machax Pass-around, I want in on it!
