Machete Grind - Concave- Convex

I recently saw some nice German made short machetes at a gun show. One had a concave edge and the other a convex edge. Which is better and why?

You would probably get more replies in the Wilderness Survival forum, but the consensus seems to be that convex grinds are the best for machetes.

Convex. More steel behind the edge; and easier to resharpen simply by stropping.

Yup, concave would be very easy to chip or bend while chopping.
