So the people that ordered machetes in the now closed machete threads, are the ones that weren't sent out hence forth canceled? Just wondering, I know you were having problems with contacting people whos machetes were completed.

Just wondering if I should start looking online else where for my FB machete

No!! I'll finish the list after the show. No worries.

I wasn't born too patient and I've gotten less so as I've gotten older. I also don't appreciate being treated like a red headed step child. Cancel my order for the 4 18 inch machetes. At least I won't have to watch the now closed thread anymore to see if any had been shipped ahead of me.

It never ceases to amaze how people just will not read the whole thread to obtain info. The last post clearly says that Andy will finish all the names on the list then that is it. I myself am less than patient also, but explain how you feel like you have been treated like a redheaded stepchild?

Gatogordo, the 18's are next up. I apologize to getting around to them last, somebody had to be last bro. I am sorry you feel slighted. I've only had the machete blades in stock for 4 months now, and I don't know how I could have made more of them in that time. The lists needed to be closed so that I wouldn't be following them permanently. This had absolutely nothing to do with you. I hope you change your mind and purchase your machetes, but I have no hard feelings if you decide to forgo them. I wasn't born patient either, so I can understand that.

Gatogordo sorry you are feeling slighted here. Andy has excellent designs and I personally have been trying to snag a certain model for well over a year. That's what happens when you get into customs and semi customs. I had 2 knives made recently by blind horse knives and waited 6 months. I know it can be frustrating but just take a breath. If they could be whipped out on a production line everyone would have one. I have one of his machete's and it was every bit worth the wait. Still, it's your decision. Andy if he cancels please consider one of those 18's sold. Doesn't matter what color handle it has.

I think Gatogordo feels that since he was on the list ahead of others, why did they get machetes before him. It happened on the 12 inch list too. Having owned quite a few of Andy's knives and communicating with him many times, he is very busy but an honorable man. Explain the situation and he will rectify it. Cannot yet make water out of wine, but makes a heck of a tool and worth every penny and bit of time. My 2 cents.

Absolutely!

Hey Andy, You'll still make Machetes after you finish the lists right?

Yes. I am going to make them in batches of ten of each size and offer them on the Website.

Out of curiosity when is Blade Show? Not that Im being impatient, just curious and wondering if I might be close enough to come up and see ya!

Blade Show is the weekend of June 10th. Its in Atlanta, and it is quite a spectacle. You should definitely come!

I'm really glad this whole project has taken off so well for you, Andy! As soon as I have the disposable income I'm going to have some kydex done up for the 16" and 18" "early run" models I've got--same goes for the Fiddleback/Collins. Excellent designs in every respect, and I'm not easy to please--especially when it comes to machetes!

I learned a lot from those initial 'early run' models. The new ones are thicker in the handle and the tang is wider spine to edge side. You already have two? Buy that third one and get a fourth for free.

Maybe after I get sheaths done up for the ones I've got. :D:thumbup:

I didn't realise that the lists had closed! Thats what happens when an earthquake puts you offline for 10 weeks.
