I did I did a search and could not find one. Is there a thread that already exists with pictures? I would love to see some modifications and custom work

Big Chris machete
3V steel, 16” blade 22” overall, .15 thick and weighs in around 23 ounces.

I used that picture recently, but it’s the best one I have that shows it off in it’s entirety. Plus I never really get sick of showing her off anyway, haha. I actually just got done using her to take care of some overhanging branches.

Here’s another shot.

I’m new enough where I never got to kick off any picture threads, so I had no quarrels taking this opportunity, haha. I’m looking forward to the next entries too. I love a good machete.

Here's a mini I made from a vintage Craftsman rip-saw with a broken handle and some missing teeth.
I made it from a section with good teeth so it could also double as a pruning saw of sorts.
Being made from a real saw you can bet it saws better than any cheesy gimmicky sawback machete you can buy.
And the saw teeth can be filed.

First is a kukri prototype. 0.187 thick. So more on the chopper side but close to a machete. 8670 @ 57-58HRC

Bottom 2 are 0.156 CPM 3V.
Full convex ground.
The green single handed model was on Knife or death. The one with black handles is the prototype ETT machete. Designed as a machete/chopping hybrid.

this is so nice to see, v 8 - I really would love to see how the toughness holds out, I'd _really_ be tempted to get that kuk machete made in v8...

... and I thought 3v was amazing

anyway, I'm likely overexcited about the deformation/rebound properties - it's like some kind of liquid rubber steel
