Really nice looking. I like the way you cut the contour around the handle.
Are the bottom two (on the back) loops functional or decorative?

Thanks for the compliments! The loops on the back are fully funtional and standard on all my machete sheaths. I include them so someone can strap the sheath to what ever they want to.

Great to see these gettin' cranked out, Heber! I love the color of your "coffee" finish.

I need to check my 'chetes and see which ones I need you to make some sheaths for. I know I'll need a few "Ontario-sized" from you.

Do you have your patterns and pricing worked out yet? How about offering accessory pockets for files/steels/smaller knives/pliers/whatever? I really like the multiple tie-down loops on the back.

Good work, and great to see you're (apparently) feeling better. :)

Way too cool !!! Simple and efficient and effective, just what I like in a sheath.

Cheers,

Carl

Thanks Carl, Simple strong and efficient is my goal. Glad you like them.

MacHete, I'm feeling tons better. Still having some bad days but they are better then the good days I used to have. Glad you like the sheaths.

That Coffee Brown sure does look cool. Each piece of leather takes to the color differently but IMO they still look good. I've got lots of different browns, greens and some black now too.

Pricing by size is in my For Sale thread but I have not worked out pricing on any of the accesorries as of yet. Working at cranking out some old orders before I add fancy stuff to the list. But Fire steel loops are one of the first things I want to add. Got some Sweedish steels coming next week and I plan on experimenting with some of my sheaths when not cranking out sheaths for others.

I have Ontario Machetes on order and I expect them in the next 7 to 10 days. A 12" and 18" USGI is what I ordered. And when I have more spare money I'll order some more. Email or PM me in a few weeks or when ever your ready and we can talk about your sheathing needs. I need to finish other orders first.

Nice work! They look sturdy and well designed. I like the way you shaped the belt loop as well.

Richard

Thanks Richard! You do some nice work too.

I shipped a few sheaths out yesterday and wanted to share some pictures with everyone. Here's a group shot:

Hope you like them. My personal favorite is the black Kukri Machete sheath. Tried to get it a dark brown but that wasn't working so I pulled out some Fiebings Black Dye and really liked how it turned out. I'm thinking I'll use more Dye from now on. That Fiebings is good stuff.

One thing about a simple, clean sheath like yours is that the quality of the work really shows, and your quality is excellent. Nice work!

Heber,

What weight leather are you using for these?

I'll use 8-9oz leather on some of the smaller ones but mostly I use 9-10oz. The latest 12" tram sheath I posted was made from 8-9oz leather and I think it was the right choice for that sheath. The other two in the last pictures were 9-10oz.

Thanks for the compliments.

Here's two more pictures of 2 sheaths I finished and shipped today. They were made from 9-10oz leather and I used Magodany Gel Antique for the coloring. The top sheath is for a Blackie Collins designed machete from Ontario and the other is for a 13" Cold Steel Kukri machete:

As you can see from the pictures I've changed the way I do the straps on the back. Figured one long strap would be better then two short ones. They turned out so nice it was hard to let them go. Thanks again for looking and please keep the comments/idea's coming.

Hi wildmanh, just received the sheath for my 12" Tramontina and I couldn't be more satisfied,it fits perfectly and it looks great, the craftsmenship shows so much more on the real thing than in the pics, which are nice also.
If I need anything else along this line you will be my first choice.
Thanks,button:D
