I looked at the index of sub-forums on BF but could not find a machete page?? There seems to be a page for every other edged tool.

Is machete just considered a knife hence no extra forum required?

A machete subforum would seem to be a natural. I have found machete discussions in the Axes subforum, in The Great Outdoors, and of course here under general discussion. There don’t seem to be a whole lot of machete threads, but those that do appear generate a lot of discussion.

Henry Beige Henry Beige I considered posting in the axe / hatchet forum then I thought a machete might just be considered a big knife here on the BF's and doesn't need a sub.

I think I will just post about machetes in general and see what happens.

Posting here is fine. I only go the the others if I am trying to find something. Machete videos are more entertaining for me, too. They spend less time on batoning, and more flailing away at the underbrush, which is more in line with my usage.

I know this is a bit extreme but let's "force" the admins into creating a new sub by doing what these folks are doing to remove the POTUS from office....walk around quietly and aimlessly in circles in front of the Senate building until Trump removes himself from office.

There's no dedicated Machete sub-forum, but there is a Political sub-forum that you can read and post in with a paid membership.

I don't think too much subdivision of general discussion is necessarily a good thing. After you move machetes, axes, kitchen knives, autos and switchblades, traditionals, balisongs, throwing knives, swords, custom knives, etc., it'll be nothing but Kershaw left. ;)
